Description

The injector of the Linear IFMIF Prototype Accelerator (LIPAc) has accumulated extensive operational experience through a series of long-duration campaigns with high-current deuteron beams. As a key subsystem for future fusion neutron source facilities, reliable injector operation is essential for achieving high accelerator availability.
To capture operational experience and equipment performance, incidents, faults, and operational anomalies have been systematically recorded in the LIPAc Event Report system over several years. These records have provided a valuable database for reliability assessment and operational review. In parallel, RAMI (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Inspectability) analyses have been performed using Event Report data and maintenance records.
This contribution presents an overview of the accumulated injector operational experience from the perspective of reliability data management and analysis. Trends observed in the Event Report database, major categories of operational events, and their use in RAMI assessment will be discussed. Particular emphasis is placed on lessons learned from collecting and maintaining reliability-related data during extended operation campaigns with high-current deuteron beams.
