Description
On ISIS we use a large number of high current DC power supplies.
During longer breakdowns these supplies have generally been left running at full output until the issue had been resolved.
I have been developing a system to store the operational value of the supplies, remotely run down each DC power supply to a predetermined level and then run them back up to their previous operational level.
Investigating how this affects beam position , calculating energy savings, and how this system can be expanded for the future.
