Description

Over the past two years, the SESAME machine underwent a comprehensive series of hardware and software upgrades aimed to improve machine availability and minimize unplanned downtime. This poster presents a summary of key improvements and upgrades implemented across various accelerator subsystems.

These upgrades include the migration of critical subsystems to modern hardware infrastructure, and enhancing subsystem redundancy through the integration of standby devices. On the software and controls level, machine reliability was reinforced by increasing orbit correction speed and automating some routine operational workflows.
Furthermore, maintenance management has been systematically digitized through the rollout of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
