Description
ESS is in the final steps of commissioning the Accelerator with reduced power in the Tuning Dump, before starting commissioning using the Target. To ensure that the set of Accelerator and Target work in a reliable fashion during the incoming Neutron Instruments commissioning and future operations, several tools and processes have been developed between the ESS Operations and Controls divisions. Among those, the main highlight has been the development of a FaultTracker tool that has been tested during the last run of Beam Commissioning. In this talk, the experience during Beam Commissioning is reviewed, including details of the tools, main sources of faults and next steps.
