Description
Following nearly 3 decades of commissioning and running, the operation of Brookhaven National Laboratory's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider has drawn to a close. As the Removal & Repurposing of the facility begins, the Electron Ion Collider project builds upon our collective experience, and we must reexamine our metrics and reporting of faults and system failures in terms of reliability. This presentation discusses our progress and challenges with fault tracking, and the useful outcomes at the BNL Collider-Accelerator Department.
