Description

After over two decades of operations, the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) made its final collisions earlier this year. The conclusion of this program paves the way for future opportunities, namely the Electron Ion Collider (EIC). Since EIC will be utilizing some of the infrastructure at RHIC, a systematic de-installation process is required for the beamlines and their components through a coordinated Removals and Repurposing Project. This presentation highlights the Basis of Estimate (BOE) development, removals sequencing, and detailed configuration management practices.
